Antique Blue & White Salt Glaze Stoneware Bowl Bale Handle Apple Blossom & Trellis

Product Description: Once a utilitarian piece, this antique stoneware bowl in the Apple Blossom & Trellis pattern is now ready to be used for your country, farmhouse decorating. On the exterior, it's nicely decorated in classic blue and white with four embossed apple blossoms on an all-over, raised trellis pattern, covered with a salt glaze finish. Surprisingly, this bowl still retains the original bale handle and black, wooden grip. Add this nice collector piece of antique stoneware to your blue and white farmhouse collection.

Markings: There is a faded "X" mark on base and what "appears" to be a faded "Patented".

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Over a 100 years old, therefore considered good condition. Original bale handle and wood grip still attached. No cracks in bowl body, no leaks. There is a 3/4" long crack on one handle tab although does not extend to the handle hole, although close. Still appears to be strong. It mostly goes through the glaze although also a portion in stoneware (as shown). Some crazing, chips in handle tab and a few glaze chips on body are present. Crazing can be seen on the interior and over the years has become somewhat discolored. Two or three 1/8” – ¼” glaze chips are present on exterior body. Patinated bale handle and black paint wear to wood grip.
