Sale price $125.00 Regular price $145.00

Product Description:  Lester Breininger, a 9th generation Pennsylvania German who began his first piece of redware in 1965, used Pennsylvania German techniques dating back to the 1700's. He and his wife Barbara worked together to create wonderful redware Folk Art pottery. Beautifully decorated by Barbara Breininger in classic Pennsylvania Dutch design and colors, this 8 1/2" diameter Sgraffito glazed bowl with areas of green oxide highlights showcases a wonderful folk art design of two tulips and a heart.

Over time, we have seen a variety of wonderful pieces of Breininger pottery signed with Lester’s (L) and a few with Lester and Barbara's' signature (L&B), although we have not acquired one of their beautiful pieces with only Barbara Breininger's signature (B.). A special piece for those who admire Lester and Barbara Breininger's early craftsmanship.
