Product Description:  In decorative arts, knowledge of the popularity of the Champlevé technique dates back prior to the 15th century.  This exquisite earlier 20th century Japanese Champlevé vase is a large and heavy one standing 19 inches tall and weighing in a at 18 pounds. Beautiful intricate and colorful enamel motifs over brass with a faint, geometric background design. The elaborate, ornate, zoomorphic double handles add a gorgeous stately appearance to this elegant piece.

Condition: Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age and normal use.  No repairs. Light wear and a few areas of blue color wear on skirted base. Pin hole towards back - lower belly. Patina on brass and white mark on inner/top opening. (as shown). Has not been polished.
