Product Description: Crafted in Japan during the 1930s-1940s, this delicate cup and biscuit tray by Seiei & Co. is ideal for a casual serving of tea and biscuits for five. Each plate and 4 oz. tea cup features hand-painted pink and orange floral with a satin glaze finish. The plates bear the Seiei & Co. mark of a bird in a circle on the unglazed base of each plate.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Art is colorful and vibrant. Light color wear on black trim on rim of cups and trays. Some pinpoint glaze pops, some discolored on areas of trays. A few black marks on pieces, possibly from decorating (as shown). No chips or cracks although one nick on rim of tray. Light wear and roughness on some rims of cups due to thinness of material. Areas of light staining on the unglazed base of plates (as shown).
