Product Description: This handsome, wooden chair once manufactured by Jamestown Wood Seat Chair Company, Jamestown, New York during the late 1800's boasts character and old world charm you would expect from 19th century furniture.  This original, single chair may have once been used as a corner or desk chair.  It features beautifully carved, curled arm rests and a spindled, slanted back with steel rods.  The seat is slightly contoured with beautiful wood grains.  Established in 1873, in business for approximately 19 years, the company was known for their quality of chairs.  What makes this one special is the original, paper label still showcased under the seat.  Although worn, it's amazing after 140 years, the advertising graphics on the label are mostly still clear and readable.  A rare find from a town once coined as "Furniture Capital of the World".
