Description: This early Gilchrist’s Ice Cream Scoop is an exciting collectible and works great! The mechanical lever which removes the ice cream from the scoop is made of metal, nickel plated brass with a wooden handle. This scoop is a 2 5/8” diameter for that larger ice cream scoop! Collecting antique ice cream scoops are fun and this find is one of the most popular ice cream scoops ever made!

Condition: Previously owned – used. Lever action works and performs very well with very little sticking, if any. Light to moderate patina. Wooden handle shows wear from normal use and washing with a split in the wood approximately 3/4 up from end of handle. Does not appear to be a deep split and should not effect the functionality of the piece (as shown). Brass is worn in areas, leaving a two-tone nickel and brass finish (as shown).
