Early English White Ironstone 12" Pitcher - Clover by Cockson & Seddon c. 1876-1877
Description: On March 1876, the partnership of Chetwynd and Cockson dissolved and a new partnership was established as Cockson & Seddon in the area of Cobridge - Staffordshire, England. This business relationship resumed through 1877.
During the Victorian era, Ironstone pitchers and basins were commonly seen in most homes. This beautiful, crisp, white ironstone pitcher made by Cockson & Seddon in England is a rather tall one standing 12 5/8” with an elegant shape. It features what appears to be an embossed 3 leaf clover motif under the top and bottom of the handle. Amazingly still in great condition! So beautiful and fresh, this ironstone pitcher is simple yet so classy!
