An interesting late 19th - early 20th century hanging Whale-Oil Lamp.  This early oil torch style lighting features a screw cap lid with attached chain and hanging hook and a handle.  A portion of the used wick still is intact and extends 3/4" out the spout.  An impressive primitive hanging collectible!
