Antique Primitive Hand Crafted Large Wooden Dough Bowl w/ Early Black Interior Paint c. 1800's
Description: You will notice loads of character in this original, hand-crafted wooden bowl with worn, early black paint on the interior. Estimated from the 1800’s, it features light to medium wood tones on the exterior with a 1” band around the rim, dry patina, and out-of-round shape. It displays prominent, interior chopping and cutting marks, scratches, and some chips on the base from much use in earlier life. There is a hand-made hole approximately 2 ¼” from the upper lip, which was most-likely used to proudly display this wonderful bowl when not in use. It is a comfortable, light weight bowl for the size, weighing in at 3 pounds. Although this dough bowl can only be used for display, with a bit of inspiration it can make a statement.
