Vintage Wooden Pencil Box - Case, Wild Animal Motif with Monogram, Needs Repair
Product Description: This monogrammed wooden pencil case in rectangular form measures 8 inches long with a triangular metal hinged brace on two sides. On the exterior and interior of the lid is incised with a monogram, “HJL” and three wild animals which correspond to the initials; Hippo, Jaguar and Lion. The interior features two sections, which most likely once held pencils and school supplies. Although one missing tack has pulled out of one corner hinge and needs repair, it still has some life left and would make an interesting school room shelf accent.
