Antique Glass Spice Storage Jar Rectangular Mission Blank Label Circa 1912

Description: Only made for a short period of time, this rectangular spice jar represents a coveted piece of early Hoosier cabinet history. In the Mission ribbed pattern, this style and shape was originally designed to display inside the hutch door in a Hoosier cabinet and the first style in the Mission pattern with an unpolished rim. It stands 4 ¾” tall and 1 ½” wide with the original aluminum lid. Despite the lid bears indentations from age and use, this rectangular Mission style spice jar remains a prized collectible for those focused on vintage kitchen storage history.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Over 100 years old, considered good condition. Clarity of glass is very good. No cracks in glass. Unpolished - ground top rim. Small chips in two right side corners, more so on inner edges. Lid exhibits damage with indentations; light depressions in two top corners, indentations along one short side of lid (as shown). Other minor imperfections and a few bubbles in glass from making.
