Antique English White Ironstone 6 1/2" Water Pitcher by J & G Meakin England
Description: During the Victorian era, Ironstone tableware were commonly seen in most homes. This beautiful, crisp, white ironstone pitcher was made by J & G Meakin Hanley, England during the late 19th century. It stands 6 1/2” tall and can hold up to 4 cups of liquid. It showcases an embossed, paneled upper body, a wavy motif on the lower belly and a short, scalloped footed base. Fancy motifs and scrolls are featured under the upper lip and handle. The Royal Arms with lion rampant stamp is visible on the underside of base.
