Antique White Ironstone Tea Pot by John Alcock England Mid 1800s Not Perfect

Product Description: A charming White Ironstone Tea Pot by John Alcock, Imperial Ironstone, Cobridge, Staffordshire England. From the mid 1800s, over 160 years old, it’s still stands gracefully with a fluted body, embellished leaf reliefs under and around the top rim, handle and spout. This piece is not perfect there is a decent repair around the base of the fancy finial. An early piece of English ironstone with areas of slight, light blue undertones, still functional and decorative.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and use. White with a faint blue undertone mostly on lid. Clean inside and out with no staining. Spout and rim is smooth with no nicks or cracks. Bottom neck of handle has been previously “repaired” along with one ¼” flake “underneath” the finial. Al -over crazing is present although no discoloration.  Appears to be a strong, decent repair. No other nicks, cracks or repairs.
