Vintage Franciscan Desert Rose Hand Painted Dinner Plate TV Mark
Description: Elevate your dining collection with this set of two Franciscan Dinner Plates in the Desert Rose pattern. Crafted in the United States, it showcases well-defined, embossed pink roses, inspired by the beautiful Rose Rugosa, wild rose with goldish-yellow centers, green leaves and brown, thorny vines on a cream background. It bears the brown mark known as the “TV or TV Screen” backstamp from the early 1970s. Not only is the Franciscan Desert Rose pattern colorful and stylish, it carries historical significance, once chosen by Lady Jacqueline Kennedy for use in the White House.

Condition: Used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Considered good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. One darker ¼ inch mark on the face of one plate that cannot be removed along with a light 2 inch rubbing in glaze near it on inner edge. The rubbing is not easily seen. The dark smudge mark can be seen. Three stilt marks on the back of each plate from the supports when drying the pottery. Please refer to photographs.
