Early Celluloid Baby Doll, String Jointed, Japan, Marked

Product Description:  So cute!  This early celluloid baby doll is string jointed.  She is wearing a pinkish-peach baby suit with pink rosy cheeks.  Her lips, drawstring and piece of hair were previously painted pink, with newer paint.  She is marked on her back with an unidentified makers mark and Royal, Japan.  With her cute face and string joints still intact, it makes this a sweet collectible!

Markings: On back (in embossed lettering):  Unidentified makers mark, Royal, Japan.  On left foot there are worn and faded markings in red which are not completely legible.  Small pin indent or hole in stomach area.

Origin:  Japan

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  Good condition.  Strings are intact, Areas of new paint on lips, hair piece and drawstring.
