Antique Hammered Copper Pot with Iron Bail Handle

Description:  A fantastic example of an early blacksmith made copper pot with a strong iron bail handle. Hand-hammered double rivets on each side with a flush, somewhat round head on the interior wall. It is uncertain what this pot was originally used for as there is no remnants of glue or melting residue, only signs of oxidation. There is a possibility it was only used to boil water. The patina on this pot is perfect and also showcases a great shape. Would look charming displayed with a bouquet of florals or perfect and original as it is.

Condition:  Used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Iron handle is strong with moderate patina and works as it should. There are signs of additional indentations on exterior body and out-of-round shape on the interior and exterior of lip and body. Some oxidation is present on interior and edge.
