Primitive Wooden Foot Stool Mortise & Tenon Joints Early Repair

Primitive Wooden Foot Stool Mortise & Tenon Joints Early Repair

Regular price $175.00

Description: For primitive decorating, this amazing wooden foot stool is an excellent choice. Constructed of wood with a mix of square and round nails, it showcases loads of character with mortise & tenon joints and an early metal repair to stabilize a crack to one leg. This was a common practice during the 18th and 19th centuries when repairing was valued rather than replacing. Proudly showing its age, this old foot stool is a special piece for those who admire the simple living from the bygone years with fixes and wear that tell a story of the object’s history and prior use.
