Description: This English earthenware sugar bowl with matching lid is beautifully decorated in a blue and red speckled sponged pattern on a creamy white background. Standing 4 1/4 inches tall, this charming timeless treasure is perfect for those who admire 19th-century English pottery and appreciate authentic period aging and early craftsmanship.

Condition: Used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. No chips, cracks or repairs. Crazing and visible discoloration/staining is present -with extensive darker discoloration on the interior bowl and inner rim. Areas of discoloration and wear on underside lid and base. Some nicks on underside of lid. One ½ inch unglazed, raised clay particle on exterior footed base. Being sold as a collectible and display use only - no longer for food use.
