Description:  This Blue & White Transferware Handleless Cup & Saucer in the "Vintage" pattern by J & G Alcock, Staffordshire, England, is a fine example of 19th-century English pottery. This set features a light blue transfer-print on white with a central scene depicting two men along the banks of a waterway with trees, mountains and houses in the distance. The pattern is detailed, framed by a decorative leaf and grape motif border with authentic age, typical of the period.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. All over light crazing is present on both pieces. Overall good antique condition. Saucer: One 1/8” scrape on rim and light wear to footed base. Cup: Three small nicks on rim, small mark on inside bottom and a glaze pop. Light wear and nick to footed base. Areas of slightly blurred transfer-print on cup border.
