Antique Large Copper Cowboy Coffee Pot Wooden Bail Handle Original Chain

Antique Large Copper Cowboy Coffee Pot Wooden Bail Handle Original Chain

Regular price $250.00

Product Description: Earlier on, especially in the Western U.S., it was a tradition for Cowboys and Ranchers to make their coffee around camp fires with pots similar to this one. They were also seen being used on ships during some American Wars. This extra large coffee pot with a copper exterior and tin interior is constructed with rivets, soldered seams and rolled or folded edges. Underneath the lid which is held on by the original chain, are initials scratched in the surface which appears to be "E L", from a previous owner or craftsman. Although today, this is not being sold for food use, it is a fantastic collectible that would display wonderfully as a rustic porch, fireplace, kitchen or cabin accent. Original large, copper coffee pots like this one are not easily found and are an exciting collectible.
