Description: This antique handwoven basket in cylinder form with a single rectangular handle was likely crafted to be gripped by one hand while walking through fields, orchards or gardens picking vegetables, flowers or cotton. Standing just over a foot tall, its smaller than a typical harvest basket, compact and lightweight, ideal as a smaller floor accent beside a hearth or tucked into a creative vignette. A beautiful piece of early handcrafted Country Americana, that will look special in any space.

Condition: Used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. Strong and sturdy handle, natural aged patina, a few breaks along bottom edge (as shown). Due to being handcrafted, basket is slightly out-of-round at bottom and doesn’t sit perfectly straight. This basket cannot be used over a door knob.
