Description: This 3 quart brown glazed Stoneware Batter Jug was crafted in the Northeastern United States during the late 19th century. It stands 7 ¾ inches tall with a horizontal, back tipper handle, metal wire bail handle with a black wooden grip. Despite this stoneware jug has chips to the spout and normal wear, it still showcases well and bears the incised E W Farrington Elmira, NY mark.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Still retains the original patinated, metal wire bail handle and wooden grip. Heavy patina on bail handle and light wear on wood grip. Top rim is in good condition free of chips. No signs of cracks or damage to side ears. Some nicks on body, scratches around lower belly area with some glaze skips at base and tip handle. Missing lid, cork or spout cover. Deep chips to rim of pour spout. An original cap may assist with covering this. Please refer to photographs.
