Product Description:  This handsome, handcrafted checkerboard with the original paint features red and black checkerboard squares on a wood surface.  One heart is hand-drawn, painted in red and is faintly displayed in each of the four corners.  The wood knothole in the corner adds to it's fantastic character. It is concealed in a handcrafted wood frame with mitered corners and held together with most of it's original, round, oxidized nails.  Both functional and decorative.  Grab some checkers and enjoy a good ol' fashion game.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age.  Some surface and paint wear, scratches, impression in wood. 1/8" gap in one mitered corner.  Wide red and black paint strokes on back of board. Most still feature the original nails with patina. although there are some nails that appear to be newer where the original ones have been replaced (as shown).  Moderate patina on wood surface.  Sturdy and functional.
