Product Description:  Back in the day, many farmers sold their eggs to local stores and neighbors using egg crate carriers similar to this one.  This wooden egg carrier most likely once carried up to 12 dozen eggs.  Although it is missing its lid and original egg separators, it still retains most of its original hardware nails, warm patina and original black stamp on the front; Feb. 1894 Humpty Dumpty, Made by Gummer Mfg.
