Primitive Wooden Turned Burl Bowl Carved Handle

Product Description:  Outstanding character is showcased on this wooden turned sauce bowl.  It stands just over 5 inches tall with a length of 9 inches, turned with levels of shallow exterior cuts. The length of the lug handle appears to be shaped with a hand tool or knife. Burn marks under the handle and side body suggests this bowl was once used near or on an open flame.  With its completely unfinished surface, natural patina and signs of early use, this wooden vessel is an amazing bowl for your primitive decorating or effortlessly complements a variety of design styles.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age and use. Original natural patina with scrapes, worm holes, knots, burnt marks under handle and below from age and use. Two sets of holes - above and below side handle possibly used for gripping with an object to lift bowl (undetermined). No longer considered food safe. Sold as an accent piece and collectible.
