Antique Old Redware Ovoid Dark Brown Jug Ribbed Strap Handle 10"
Description: Compliment your primitive décor collection with this early redware jug from the Northeastern United States region. In ovoid form, the exterior retains most of its original dark brown, almost black glaze, most likely Albany, which has developed a pleasing worn patina over time. Standing just over 10 inches tall, the jug displays a bulbous belly that tapers to a round footed base. An applied ribbed strap handle completes its authentic early American appearance. Although this piece has condition issues, which are detailed in the "Condition" section, it offers a primitive presence for those who appreciate early American pottery.
