Product Description:  An Antique Reading Hardware Company Interior Mortise Lockset.  This fantastic find from a Berks County, PA auction features two sides of beautiful, decorative knobs and faceplates.  Each faceplate has a thumb-turn lock.  One is above the door knob and the opposite faceplate has a thumb-turn below the door knob. Both plates are sculptured in ornate, high relief detail which provides a Victorian style appearance. 

Manufactured by Reading Hardware Company (R.H.C), founded in 1852, Reading, PA  was one of the leading door hardware manufacturers in the late 19th and early 20th Century.  Whether your doing restoration or collecting early hardware, this handsome lockset displays wonderfully.
