Product Description:  Display this early glazed pottery crock from the late 19th to early 20th century. With a hefty appearance, standing just under 7 inches tall and 7 ½ inches wide it still retains its original wire bail handle and black, wooden grip. It does show some age with some chips around rim although still functional and decorative. A very nice piece of early pottery which has a simple, country primitive appearance.

Makers Mark: No visible Makers’ Mark. Incised on top of lid is “5 & 6” (as shown).

Condition:  Previously owned – used. Good condition with no cracks and holds liquid. Bail handle has surface patina. Some wear on black wooden grip. Knob on lid is unglazed. Chips around inside and outside rim. Glaze crack around knob on lid. The lid appears to be original to the piece, matching color and fit although unsure what the 5 & 6 represents. Scuffs and early scratches on body (as shown).
