Antique Banded Bentwood Dry Measure 7" Diameter
Description: During the earlier years, wooden containers similar to this one were common for measuring dry goods or other commodities. This smaller dry measure most likely used in the agriculture or industrial environment, measures 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall. Well-constructed of bentwood with small tack nails, it is reinforced with metal horizontal and vertical bands encircling the exterior sides and bottom. An exceptional choice for primitive or farmhouse decorating.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and use. Overall good condition with honest use and wear. Inside surface is dark and discolored due to the purpose and environment it was used for. One 3 inch hairline crack at base and slight space between wall and base (as shown). Still very strong with no signs of weakness or movement. Although this measure is all original, it is missing some nails in the metal straps encircling the sides. Again, super strong with no signs of weakness. When on a flat surface, the measure has a slight of a wobble due to the metal straps on bottom. Please refer to photographs.
