Antique Wooden Keg - Iron Banded Rundlet, Powder Keg, Barrel w/ Original Red Paint

Description:  This Americana 16 inch tall wooden keg was once most likely used to either hold whiskey, wine or possibly gun powder. The top and bottom are enclosed with wood making it convenient to place small objects on the flat surface.  With the solid staved wood construction, 1 open bung hole, and 6 black metal bands covered with some worn red paint, it boasts just the right amount of rugged character to display on a porch, in a restaurant or man’s cave.

Condition:  Previously owned – used.  Condition is consistent with age and use.  Wood construction is solid.  All rivets on the front appear to be there and intact. May be missing a few fasteners. One loose band (3^rd from top) although band is still held together around barrel with front rivets.  Worn early paint with a small amount of newer, white paint splotches on body of barrel (as shown). Missing cork (bung). As found condition.
