19th Century Round Lidded Soap Dish Three Piece by Copeland England Registry Mark

Description: This 19th-century Blue & White Transferware Soap Dish was once part of a wash basin set commonly seen in bedrooms during the Victorian era before indoor plumbing. In round form, this three-piece set consisting of a dish, strainer and matching lid is decorated with an elegant blue ribbon and bow pattern. A fine example of period craftsmanship, combining functionality with a decorative appeal. It bears the impressed Copeland mark along with raised and printed English registry marks on the base, dating this piece mid-1800s.

Condition: Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age and use.  Wear/rubbing to the base. Some glaze pops and pitting on interior and/or lid. A 1 ½ inch hairline crack is present in the strainer from outer edge. Does go through to other side although still appears to be strong. Some areas of light wear on blue.
