Americana Bentwood Dry Grain Measure Bucket w/ Iron Side Handles c. Late 1800's
Description: During the earlier years, wooden buckets similar to this one were common for measuring dry ingredients. This larger dry measure from the late 1800’s with wonderful natural patina and original dry surface measures 14 3/8” diameter. Constructed of bentwood and still retaining the original iron side handles and metal bands, early Americana dry measures as nice as this one are becoming challenging to find.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is consistent with age and normal use. Metal bands are still intact with no wiggle or movement. Handles are strong and secure with original hardware. Natural patina, wear and scratches are present from normal use. Slight wiggle on one corner of bottom base. Missing two nails on bottom metal band although no movement in band is noticed. One other nail on same band either replaced earlier on or patina was rubbed.
