Antique 19th Century Framed Child's Embroidered Alphabet Sampler c. 1839
Product Description: This is a wonderful 1839 embroidered sampler work by Amelia Kirby Frankish when she was 12 years old. It is wonderfully done with the top portion finished with the capitalization and lower case ABC’s. The mid and lower portion is finished with a basket of flowers, a tree, individual flowers, other images and her name embroidered across the bottom. The frame could have possibly been hand-painted by Amelia, but this is unknown. Short history of her work is noted on the back of the frame.
