Antique Tin Tole Document Keepsake Box With Original Early Paint - 1800's
Product Description: This 1800's tin tole document box in its original condition features an early painted dome, hinged lid with a delightful, greenish-mustard color foliage and an oval ring handle. The hand-crafted, snap-down latch has a crafty, rolled bottom. The front and sides still have signs of the original orange fruit and mustard color motif on a black painted surface. Under the early paint and patina are still signs of folded and rolled edges with hand-soldered seams. A fine example of early toleware which displays nicely!
