Antique Blue Mason Glass Canning Jar Maltese Cross Hero Fruit Co. Philadelphia, No Lid

Description: An early quart size Mason’s Improved Canning Fruit Jar with the Hero Cross symbol from the Hero Fruit Jar Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This jar in light aqua blue color with slight wavy lines embedded in the glass is believed to have been made during the 1870s – 1890s. Embossed on the front bears the Hero Cross with Mason’s Improved and the PAT NOV 26 67 with a two digit 47 in the center.
