Antique Blue Stoneware Salt Crock with Wooden Lid - Not Perfect
Description: Early on, salt boxes of different styles were commonly found in kitchens, hung near the stove away from damp areas. Made of stoneware, this classic blue, salt glaze crock with a wooden lid and porcelain knob is a delightful fit in a country farmhouse setting. Although this salt crock is not in perfect condition and is recommended for table-top use only, it still is a beautiful, functional early piece.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Fair condition. Not perfect. Beautiful, vibrant blue salt glazed exterior with a glazed interior. Four cracks with what appears to be thin repairs extending outward from the mounting hole. Although it appears to be strong, it is “not” recommended to be hung on the wall. Only being sold as a table-top display. Cracks are more noticeable from back then front. One 1” glaze chip on bottom base. Does not interfere with functionality of crock.
