Antique Cast Iron General Store String Holder Dispenser 2 Piece Black

Product Description:  During the earlier years, cast iron string holders similar to this one were popular in general stores, businesses and many households to keep their string or twine organized and manageable. In round form, this cage style with openings surrounding the holder, made it easier to notice when the string gets low. There are lovely flower cut-outs on the top and bottom, making it even more decorative. On the top is a metal ring which was most likely used to hang from either a hook on a rack or table-top cast iron holder.  A string holder made to last.
