Antique Cast Iron Round String Holder Dispenser 4" General Store String Keeper
Description: A classic cage-style string holder commonly seen hanging in merchant stores or household counters during the late 1800s into the early 1900s. Before modern twist ties and adhesive tape, these holders kept balls of string or twine clean, organized and manageable, ready for daily tasks. This bage style holder was designed in two formed halves that snap securely together and could be hung near counters or work areas, allowing string to be pulled through the bottom opening while the ball stayed intact.
