Antique Chinese Opium Scale in Original Wooden Case
Description: This antique Chinese Opium Scale in its original wooden case was once used in China during the 19th century to weigh opium and/or precious metals. This unequal arm balance with one single brass plate, weight and rod sits firmly in its original wooden case. The brass weight and lid of wooden case bears Chinese characters – writing.
