Early Hand Forged Wrought Iron Ladle Dipper
Description: During the Colonial times and later, often many American homes were known to prepare meals over a wood fire. Early utensils similar to this one were used for a variety of purposes and hung above the hearth, on a timber when not in use. This petite size ladle was hand-crafted with a forged, flattened wrought iron handle attached to a raised, iron bowl with three hammered rivets. A nice early Colonial style collectible that will display beautifully in your kitchen.
