Birbeck, Senior, a respected artist of Brown, Westhead and Moore & Co., Cauldon, England, whos work was exclusively retailed for Tiffany & Co. New York until 1900 when he left to join Royal Doulton. A beautiful, naturalistic scene is featured with two Mallard ducks in a landscaped pond. It offers both an elegant appearance with a slightly scalloped, decorative green edge accented with gold-gilt highlights. of A truly exquisite work of art for any collector.

Condition: Condition is commensurate with age and use. Over 120 years old and consider in overall good condition, although not perfect. No cracks, glaze or color wear. One 1/4" glaze chip and/or wear on front near Mallard's head (as shown). Unsure if it occurred when glaze was applied (as a slip) or wear from use, later on. A few small scratches in glaze, hard to detect. Light wear on back on gold gilt footed ring. A shown, beautiful artistry.
