Description: A great set of five old-time Hoosier jars which most likely was once was displayed and used from an early Hoosier cabinet. Made of glass with early tin lids, all six showcase fancy embossed spice names in the Script Colonial style; Allspice, Cinnamon, Salt, Soda, Pepper on a well-defined 12-paneled body. Notice the two pierced lids with a small lever to open and close the openings. A depression era set of five which will display nicely in your kitchen.

Origin: United States

Condition: Previously owned - used. All lids do screw and tighten properly although each lid does exhibit original age darkening - patina. Lever on the two lids work properly. Each rim of the glass jars are rough, not smooth with either roughness, nicks and/or chips. Some scratches in straight and curved form which do not appear to be cracks but some deeper scratches (digs) mostly in Allspice, Pepper and Soda (as shown). Smaller bubbles in most glass jar bodies. Small ¼” indentation on edge of Cinnamon lid. Please refer to photographs as they are part of the description.
