Description: A charming 19th century Purple Transferware Handleless Cup & Saucer in "The Pet" pattern by William Adams & Sons, Staffordshire, England. The central scene depicts a pastoral lamb adorned with a floral neck garland resting beneath a draped canopy with a lady figure nearby, framed by intricate floral and leaf borders and a scalloped rim.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. Cup: ¼” scrape on side of rim, nick on top of rim along with some glaze roughness and small raised clay pieces. Saucer: Short 1/8” nick/crack on top of rim, ¼” scrape directly under rim along with glaze roughness (as shown in photographs). Purple transfer splatters on underside of saucer. Being sold for decoration only.
