Description: Bring home this charming four-piece English Purple Transferware Plate Set in the "Aurora" pattern from the mid-19th century. Crafted by Francis Morley & Co., each plate measures 9 1/2 inches wide, a smaller size dinner plate. Featuring a purple transfer-printed floral and ornamental scrollwork with a very gentle 12-sided rim, this set is an authentic example of English craftsmanship for those who admire antique transferware.

Condition: Previously owned – used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. Over 170 years old – considered very good condition. No chips or utensil marks. A small raised clay particle on the front of one plate, glaze pop and normal aging. Slight glaze roughness on rim. Rubbing on back footed area. Triangular form stilt marks are present on back caused by the kiln supports. This is not considered a defect.
