Product Description: During the 19th century, cotton manufacturing and textiles was an important part of history in Fall River, Massachusetts. This collection of 16 wooden spools with Silkateen knitting and crochet cotton wound around a natural wooden spool, offers fantastic early advertising. K.T. Co. Fall River, Mass. is on the label of 14 spools with 3 spools also referencing the American Thread Co., Made at Willimantic, Conn. either in small print below or on one side. K.T. Co. (Kerr Thread Co.) was purchased by American Thread Co. approximately 1898. Although there is wear on the paper labels, most of the advertising is clear and displays wonderfully. Decorate by adding these to a small basket or clear jar to display a fantastic piece of textile history from the Northeastern U.S.
