Product Description:  A charming old English Victorian bread plate. Made of ironstone in a creamy white tone, it sits ¾” high with a round footed base. It is a hefty piece, weighing just under 4 pounds, The top edge has a gentle sloping rim with molded, raised sprays of wheat on the top rim and a Gothic script; “Waste Not Want Not” on the bottom. A unique round bread board gracefully displaying its age with a chippy appearance and previous repairs.

Condition:  Previously owned - used.  Decorative and functional although not perfect. On front, several chips mostly on inner rim with “repair” attempts which are now slightly discolored. A few nicks and wear on outer rim. The round footed base on the bottom exhibits additional chips and wear with one rather deep on being 1 ¾” long and a ¾” vertical hairline on footed base. With this chip, its still very sturdy with minimal movement. Light knife marks on inner flat surface from use.
