Antique French Wooden Runner Sled 35"

Product Description: An exceptional example of French Wooded Runner Sled. Wooden construction with iron-reinforced runners. Measuring 35 inches long, this sled is construction with wood and held together with slotted screws and mortise & tenon joints. Once popular for snow travel during the 19^th and early 20^th century, now serves a vintage accent piece for homes, lodges, chalets or porches.

Additional Markings: A non-legible printed name on front-end (right of rope hole) which appears to be “Meyer or Mayer” with a carved “M”. This may be an early last name of previous owner. Not confirmed.

Condition:  Previously owned - used. Condition is commensurate with age and use. Considered good condition. Normal scratches and wear. Surface overall good condition. One repair or fill to screw hole (as shown).
