Antique Pedal Sleigh Bells on Original Leather Strap

Product Description:  Your holiday door will look and sound spectacular with these 34 antique sleigh bells jingling from the door.  These daisy-like pedal bell motif, circle a single throat slit with rounded ends.  Most of the bells are marked in the center with the sizes ranging from 2 to 5, all riveted to an original, early leather belt.  The surface of the bells have been left untouched and are covered with a wonderful, dark layer of patina.  The original belt buckle is still intact on one end although the end which normally is inserted into the buckle is torn and worn.  Add this long set of sleigh bells to your door or hearth.  It will for sure add some antique holiday decor for the holidays.

Circa:  1860-1890

Dimensions:  Overall 84" ( 7 feet) long. variety of bell sizes (#2 to #5) ranging from 1 1/8" to 1 3/4" across.

Markings: Most have a pedal-like design with engraved sizes 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Condition: Previously owned - used.  Condition is consistent with age and history.  Moderate to dark patina on bells.  Some surface scratches. 6 noticeable missing bells on strap. Leather belt shows wear, torn in areas and surface cracking.  Leather is separating in areas although still appears to be fairly strong.  Two bells have a small hole and/or chip.  End opposite of buckle is torn and separating.
