Antique Hand Painted Lidded Toleware Tin Canister 7 1/4"
Product Description: This early Americana painted tin canister, most likely from the Pennsylvania region is in original condition. A wonderful hand-painted black tinware which features an early painted front side with a delightful floral and leafy motif in blues, greens, red tones on a mustard or gold band. The lid has worn, faint paint with a flat top and ring shape handle. The crafted snap-down latch has a crafty, rolled bottom. The lid most likely has not been opened in many years. It is a tight fit and cannot be opened and has been left in original condition. A lovely early toleware examples like this one are not easy to come by!

The lid is tight and has can not be removed. Do not recommend applying any force to removing the lid due to possible damage. Snap down latch does lift up and down with no notice of looseness or damage.
