English White Ironstone Tea Pot BOOTE'S 1851 Octagon by T & R Boote c. 1851-1854
Description: This charming, glazed, white ironstone tea pot from the 19th century by T& R Boote of Staffordshire, England stands about 9” tall and can hold up to 5 cups. It features and octagonal shape with a fluted body which elegantly swoops outward towards the bottom with a slightly skirted raised base. The “O” ring shape handle is exceptional and definitely an eye-catcher! A simple leaf motif is displayed on the top of the handle and on the inner and outer part of the spout. Although the pour spout has some small chips, this classy, highly collectible, 19th century timeless treasure is both functional and decorative.

Condition: Previously owned - used. Over 166 years old. No crazing or repairs. Inside is super clean. There is one 1/8” chip and two small nicks on the inside lip where the lid rests (as shown). Some pitted areas at bottom neck of spout. Three nicks and scuffs on pour spout - although does not compromise the function of the pot. Lid fits perfectly with no wobble.
